Knock Off...or Not?

1. Steve Madden "Brigght" $129.95

2. Guiseppe Zanotti for Balmain Crystal Studded Sandals $1,720
3. Bakers "Darcy" $79.95

I don't know, but these sure are similar. Is is flattery or a knock off? No, they aren't sold in back alleys or the backs of hair stores. They're sold in mall stores. Steve Madden is notorious for "knocking off" high end designers (check his past and most recent lawsuits, there's no currently by Alexander McQueen) and bringing them to the masses. The last are from Baker's which means the trend is officially dead, if they're in a low end mall store. If you see them at Rainbow or any place like that, then you know it's over.

Obsession: British Pop

I don't know what it is, but lately American music has been getting on my nerves. It bores me easily (does this past summer's Stanky Leg ring a bell?) and makes me wish that there was something that could sustain my attention for longer than three days. So, I started looking for new music...and ended up in England. It was easy since they speak English and all and are almost made up like the United States. I don't think they make better music, I just think they give more diverse artists a chance at making it. They don't throw out insipid dance songs just to make a quick buck (I'm not saying they don't, I'm just saying they keep it to themselves, lol.) Here are my favorite UK artists:
